Silent Fall (Complete)

I willed my body forward, my head hung low as a cold smile crept up my face. I didn’t hear the monster’s shrieks as I lunged towards it. I pushed and pulled until I finally saw him gripping the silver railings of the balcony. His purple lips now trembling as he looks straight towards the ground below.

One more push and he’ll be gone. One more push and I’ll be free.

Fiend or father, I only had one more step.

I was a fool to believe that he had surrendered. A monster never calms. He twisted his body in a flash, snatching my wrists and hurls me forward. No matter what I did, I couldn’t reach the railings.

At that moment I’m getting further away from the sky.

I’m falling.

Whether this is a dream or reality, I hope tomorrow will be different from today.

I’m just wishing.

{End}
